So the reason I haven't posted in three weeks is that we have been working on the basement non-stop. I had the crazy notion to get it all done in time to have a family party for Christopher's second birthday party. We returned home from our trip to a basement in the drywall stage. In the past two weeks, we have put up trim and baseboards, cleaned out dirt and tools, primed, painted, and painted some more. Put in cabinets, light fixtures, moved furniture and cleaned. In order to get some paint in before the carpet came, I had to stay up overnight to get it done. On Wednesday I started painting my bathroom at 8:00 p.m., and didn't finish until 5:00 a.m. Then on Thursday I started painting my family room at 8:30 p.m., with help from my friend Sheena, and didn't finish until 7:00 a.m. the next morning. I lay in my bed for one hour until the carpet installer came at 8:00. I am totally nuts!
I also need to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Cansas, Alisha, and Sheena. My dear friends and neighbors, who have watched my boys all day long so I could work on getting the basement done. You guys are amazing, and generous! I wouldn't have made it through the week without you!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

It looks so good!! It's the perfect time to finish your basement, just in time for all of the Holidays. It makes me really want to finish ours!!
