They finally did it! The park behind our house finally got hydroseed today! We have waited for 3 years for the park to get finished!! They planted tons of trees yesterday, and when the grass gets more established, the park benches should go in! It will be so nice to not see 2 foot tall weeds, or get dirt blown all over our back yard every time there is a storm! Hooray!
By the way....I know that Breaking Dawn just came out, but I am not going to read it until my trip in October, so please don't spoil it for me!! And if you click on the counter at the top of my blog, you can see 2 new trailers for the Twilight movie on the website!

Are you going to have a car? How long are you going for? I never spent much time in Mannheim. I went to church there once. And I think they have a castle or some nice gardens there.
I will suggest going to Heidelberg castle. It is only a 20minute or so tram rise from most places in Mannheim. Very easy commute. You get off the tram (can't remember the stops name anymore) and walk thru the old city which is now a foot shopping district (no cars). Then you take the stairs (alot of them I think 1000+) or the ramp which is super steep. Get the tour and go inside. It is a rather inexpensive trip. I would take everyone. Jake and I would go to the park and have picnics on our anniversary. The view is amazing up there.
If you have a vehicle go to Worms it is where Matin Luther did his thing. You can read up on it on Wikipedia. It should only be a 20-30minute drive. We just found the stadt-mitte (city center) and found the tourist info which is a block from the cathedral, just off the foot area. We did the walking tour, went in the Dom (the church), saw the synagouge, and did the ancient roman museum. It took half a day our so. But fun and inexpensive. If you are looking for other fun day trips further away let me know I can give you bunch more but those two are way close and allow you to see Germany without breaking the bank.
I never thought the day would come. I was hoping we would come back from vacation and it would he hydroseeded!!! Have they started on the second park?? I just finished Breaking Dawn. It was the best one! I can't believe you have the self control to wait.
